Quartix joins the ranks of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the UK - in the '2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 50'

Cambridge, 1st November, 2007 – Quartix today announced that it ranked Number 38 in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50; a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the UK. To determine the fastest growing companies, Deloitte reviewed fiscal year revenues and calculated the average percentage revenue growth for each nominated company over the past five years. Quartix grew 1130% during this period and inclusion in the listings is a significant accomplishment.

Established in 2001, Quartix has enjoyed exceptional levels of annual growth and has seen sales of its highly-integrated tracking devices increase by more than 60% this year. Its internet-based system receives excellent industry reviews and is used by over 1,500 cross-sector companies in more than 13,500 commercial vehicles to improve business capacity and customer service, enhance vehicle security and assist with meeting duty of care requirements. The award-winning ‘live-on-the-web’ tracking facility allows 24/7 visibility of the mobile workforce from any online PC, and this is complemented by online fleet activity logs detailing up-to-the-minute and historical data. The system also delivers emailed reports to clients on a daily, weekly or monthly basis – providing invaluable management information.

Commenting on the ranking, Simon Kerton-Johnson, Chairman of Deloitte’s UK Fast 50 said, “Being one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK is an impressive accomplishment. We commend Quartix for making the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 with a phenomenal 1130% growth rate over five years.”

2007 is proving to be another exciting year for Quartix; in which it gained the coveted Van Fleet World Honours Technology Award, and reached the finals of the National Business Awards, AXA Small to Medium size Business of the Year competition, due to be held in London, on November 13th.

Andy Walters, Managing Director at Quartix credits outstanding employees, strong vision and a desire to achieve industry excellence, with the company’s extraordinary percentage revenue growth over the past five years.

“We are proud to be achieving consistently high growth levels in an increasingly challenging sector,” he remarks, “It’s an honour to be ranked among the UK’s 50 fastest growing technology companies by an organisation as prestigious as Deloitte, and is superb recognition of the skill, professionalism and dedication of our excellent team. Our immediate aim is to expand and grow the business further over the coming years and to maintain the high level of support and service we offer to our customers.”
