Arriva and Quartix set to maximise fleet efficiency with TrackTech

Quartix, one of the UK’s leading vehicle tracking system manufacturers, has unveiled an innovative partnership with Arriva Vehicle Rental.
TrackTech, a highly advanced but easy-to-use vehicle tracking system, is to be installed in many of Arriva’s fleet of some 12,000 cars and light commercial vehicles. The TrackTech system, powered by Quartix technology, is designed to help Arriva customers further optimise the overall efficiency of their vehicle operations. Over 550 companies in the UK, from owner-managed small businesses through to major corporations, already use Quartix’s real-time vehicle tracking technology to reduce key vehicle operating costs as well as achieving faster, more responsive levels of customer service.
Commenting on the introduction of TrackTech, Arriva Vehicle Rental’s operations director, Gareth Jones, said: “It is important that all of our customers receive the service and product best suited to meet their needs.
“We carried out in-depth research to ensure that we introduced a tracking system that would be the most reliable, practical and cost-effective for our customers. Following an extensive trial period we were pleased to select Quartix as our technical partner.
“TrackTech can be pre-installed for our customers and its functions can be mastered in a matter of minutes, which is another advantage we felt our customers would appreciate,” he added.
Arriva’s customers who choose to install TrackTech will be able to review the progress and location of all their vehicles in real-time, via the Arriva website. They will receive detailed e-mail management and timesheet reports automatically, and will be able to create bespoke tracking options best suited to meet their business needs. TrackTech can be trialled, leased or purchased outright from Arriva Vehicle Rental and free demonstrations are easily available.
Andy Kirk, Quartix’s sales and marketing director commented: “We’re naturally delighted to be working in partnership with Arriva and it was particularly pleasing that the practical and commercial benefits were a deciding factor. TrackTech is not clever technology for the sake of it – this is a tracking system that enables companies to quickly and easily analyse the way their vehicles are operating and change things for the better.”
