Cannon Hygiene places Vehicle Tracking Contract with Quartix.

Cannon Hygiene Ltd, nationally-renowned provider of essential services to businesses of all sizes, has selected Quartix, a leading UK vehicle tracking specialist to provide an advanced management solution to its fleet of over 900 vehicles. This considerable investment allows Cannon to increase fleet efficiency, thus strengthening its claim to delivering the highest levels of customer service in the sector.

With 500 tracking units recently installed, the forward-thinking hygiene-services company is already reaping the benefits of the award-winning tracking provision, with increased productivity and help with Duty of Care responsibilities just two of the system’s notable advantages.

Speaking from the Cannon Head Office in Morecambe, Fleet Manager Steve Somers says, ‘‘The Quartix system provides a straightforward, effective vehicle tracking tool. Online GPRS live-tracking enables optimum route-planning at each service depot, with levels of operation being raised to an extent that allows streamlining of our fleet in some areas – with no loss of customer service. Likewise, no new vehicles are taken on until it has been established that the existing fleet is being utilised to maximum efficiency.’’

With considerable fleet management experience, Somers values the Quartix ‘managed service’ and regularly interrogates the daily, emailed tracking logs for information on both driver-hours and vehicles. ‘‘It’s easy to check that drivers are keeping within the limits of safe working time,’’ he remarks, ‘‘which helps with Duty of Care obligations.’’

‘‘At a time when fleet running costs are increasing, the Quartix solution allows Cannon to continue delivering excellent service – cost effectively,’’ states Managing Director, Oliver Weisflog.

Andy Walters, Managing Director of Quartix, commented “We are delighted to have won this prestigious contract with such a well-respected service company. The working relationship with Cannon has been excellent so far, and we hope to continue providing this service to them for many years to come”.
